Technical Information 7

1.     Porsche 911 GT3 Cup gear lever

To solve the recent problems with Delrin bushes in the gear lever system sticking and bolts loosening (between gear lever and gear rod), the fastening bolt should be changed to M8. This will also improve the precision of the gear shift. The Delrin bushes need to be able to slide from side to side in their housing.

2. Engine mounting bolts:

To prevent damage to the engine carrying brace, with immediate effect, longer bolts will be used (M10 x 160) with washers and self securing nuts.

3. Middle water cooler:

The middle water cooler is to be moved forward 20mm. with the use of aluminium bushes to increase efficiency. The rubber duct has to be cut to fit according to a supplied pattern. The parts and the necessary tools are available from Mr. Uli Wöhr (Spare parts sales) at Budapest.

4. Porsche 911 GT3 Cup engine mounting advice:

Due to an actual case, we must point out that when removing the gearbox or other engine parts, that the engine should not be allowed to sink down unless the rear engine mounting plate has been fully removed.
